Our focus centers around the most important way that children learn: through play. Research suggests that playful social skills activities can significantly help children improve their social competence, confidence, and self-esteem. Social skills groups help kids learn problem-solving skills, and are useful in teaching kids to control their emotions and empathize with others.
Group participants practice important social skills they will use the rest of their lives. This includes learning how to: control impulses, greet others, start and maintain a conversation, be a good friend, share and take turns, be emotionally honest, and ask for help.
